Home and School Association

Our Mission Statement

All parents and guardians of the students attending Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Parish School are members of the Home and School Association. Members of the Home and School Association are dedicated to support and enhance our children's Catholic education and spiritual growth. We will serve together to strengthen our community by uniting the parents, students and staff of our school through ongoing communication, effective fundraising and by promoting enrichment programs.

Many volunteers are needed throughout the year to accomplish this task. Volunteering in Home and School Association activities can be a lot of fun and a great way to meet other parents, teachers and staff! Let's get to know each other while supporting our children in the Parish community.

UPDATE ON THE TECHNOLOGY COMMITTEE

Since our last Home and School Association meeting, the technology committee has been meeting and working to bring technology to our school. Presently we are working on securing proposals to review. These first proposals will be the first to step to bringing technology to the individual classrooms. We will be focusing on how to provide wiring to our individual classrooms for internet access for our students. This process has involved meeting with several companies, and conducting site surveys of the school. This is our first step. The next step, of multiple steps, will be to begin dialogue regarding computers for the individual classrooms while providing internet access to individual classrooms. It is our goal to continue this progression and keep the momentum moving.

Nominations for these positions will be accepted until 4/16/2010. An introduction of the nominated individuals will take place at the April 20, 2010 Home and School Association Meeting. Elections will take place 4/20/10 - 4/29/10. Remember that these positions require a 2 year commitment and their term will expire at the end of the 2011-2012 school year.
